How to stream in a GDS file from Encounter

This HOW-TO will stream in a standard cell design from Encounter using the OSU standard cell library.

To stream in a GDS file from Encounter:

1. In Virtuoso, select File → Import → Stream.
2. Select the Encounter GDS file in the Stream field.
3. Choose a new or existing library for the Destination Library field.
4. Attach the technology file (ex. NCSU_TechLib_ami06).
5. Click Load File.
6. Choose the top-level cell.
7. Go into the options and load the layer map from the OSU standard cell library.
8. In Options → Libraries, add the OSU standard cell library to the list of reference libraries.
9. Click Translate.
